Summer is here for real now! The kind, encouraging vibes of the Cancer sun will preside over the cosmic happenings for most of the month, until Leo takes over on the 22nd. If you feel particularly loved at this time of the year, thank the motherly and fatherly energies of these two supportive signs. In other celestial news, Venus will go retrograde this month, so you might hear from people you used to know (and/or love). Now’s the time to evaluate and decide who stays, and who does not.

ARIES (March 21-April 20)

Your social schedule will fill quickly, thanks to all the planets lighting up your houses of home, family, friends, and fun. Be careful that you don’t overdo it. Your tendency to go all out to get the maximum “zing” out of all the things you do could wear you out by the 11th. Mars will move into sensible Virgo by then, to help you be more discerning, while still having plenty to celebrate.

TAURUS (April 21-May 20)

A visit with someone from your family might be a surprising pleasure, unless it turns into a long-term houseguest sort of situation. Use Pluto’s power to help you set firm boundaries around the 10th and the 27th. Venus is your planet, so her backward dance in your house of family could bring an opportunity to bury a familial hatchet. Or, you could re-encounter a friend or lover from way back when.

GEMINI (May 21-July 20)

This month will put a lot of focus on money in your life. You might earn more than usual, or be tempted to spend more, perhaps on a vacation or even a car. Within reason, remember that you can buy happiness, especially when it comes to taking a well-deserved break or equipping yourself with a reliable and properly equipped means of conveyance.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Your birthday celebration could go on for some time, particularly with Jupiter in your house of friends and groups. Don’t say no to opportunities to allow others to show you how much you’re appreciated. Venus in retrograde could bring you a chance to rectify a financial mistake, or to pick up on an opportunity you passed on before. A surprise windfall could arrive around the 2nd.

LEO (July 23-Aug 22)

Nostalgia will become more prominent in your life once Venus goes retrograde on the 23rd. Maybe someone you just can’t forget wil remember your birthday and re-ignite an old flame. A latent friendship could also spring back to life. Use your powers of attraction to call in the people who bring the most happiness to your life, and stick with them.

VIRGO (Aug 23-Sep 22)

Let your hair down this month. Friends will want to see you and there’s only one summer per year! With so much energy in your house of contemplation, however, you’ll need to balance your people time with some quiet activities. There’s no law against sitting on your porch with a cool drink and a cat in your lap. Expect company around the 7th.

LIBRA (Sep 23-Oct 22)

You might spend more time than usual getting your abode all ready for summer, but guess what? It’s already here. Finishing touches should be complete before the full moon on the 3rd, just in time for Independence Day adventures. An “old gang,” whether from college or a one-time job, could invite you for some catch-up time after the 23rd. 

SCORPIO (Oct 23-Nov 21)

It could get hard to keep up with all the invitations you have coming in this month. Jupiter in your house of relationships is bringing you a lot of love. If you’re not already attached, expect more than a few chances to change that. Of course, you’ll use your discernment, but expect to hear from someone from the past, perhaps a person you used to live with, late in the month.

SAGITTARIUS  (November 22-Dec 21)

No one has to tell you to keep a suitcase packed, but this summer may be even more travel-oriented than usual, with all that activity in your house of adventure. The new moon on the 17th could bring in the funding you need to bankroll a dream trip, or allow you the ability to enroll in a class you’ve been craving to take.

CAPRICORN (Dec 21-Jan 20)

Summer is a sweet time for you. You tend to allow your guard to drop down and let the love of friends and family in. This will be truer than ever around the time of the full moon on the 3rd. Later in the month, get in touch with your passions, and indulge them. This might mean more time for love, or an irrepressible drive to start a new project.

AQUARIUS (Jan 21-Feb 20)

The people who love you most will want more of your time this month, and you’ll be ready to give it to them. It’s hard for you to avoid intellectualizing your relationships, but this could be a good strategy for you, particularly later on in the month. Your heart might not be as separate from your mind as you once thought. Let love in.

PISCES (Feb 21-March 20)

The new moon energy at the beginning of the month could revamp your entire outlook on social life. Don’t let Mars and Mercury push you to work too hard now. It’s fine to do things “just for fun.” If you can’t come up with something, look to your children or other young relatives to inspire you. Maybe a day at the water wonderland or amusement park is in order!
