How to Stay Grounded Part 5: Tap Into Your Electromagnetism

Do you know that your body has its own, unique, electromagnetic key to helping you self soothe, find stability, get grounded, and stop spinning out, in an instant? Welp, it sure does. 


In this last and final installment of our series on How to Stay Grounded – even when the world is going unhinged around us – we’re exploring the secret code that’s buried inside each of us.

Hint: you can discover yours by taking a gander at your Human Design chart. There’s one special place on that funny-looking diagram that you need to look at to find out which specific energetic frequency signifies the unique tactic that you can activate to pull yourself back down to terra firma anytime life goes whirlwind on you. 

Get ready to anchor in and be held by the magical grounding force of Mother Earth, by discovering how your energy-body is electromagnetically designed to get grounded, anytime you feel overwhelmed, anxious, out-of-sorts or shaky.

 

How to find your body’s electromagnetic key to stability

The first step to discovering your unique stability key is to download your free Human Design chart. You can do that by visiting one of many different websites, like mine, and entering your birthdate, time, and location into a form which generates what we, in the field, call your bodygraph. Go ‘head and do that now, and then come on back.

Your Human Design chart can be thought of as a map of what the planets were doing, where in the sky they were hanging out, what kinds of cosmic stardust they were emitting due to their positions, and how those energetic conditions affected your lil’ naked body’s electromagnetic makeup at the fateful moment you emerged out of your mother’s womb into this Earthly atmosphere.

Your chart reveals loads of information about you and about how you are uniquely hardwired to take in, process, and give off. It shows how you’re meant to move through the world, according to the most optimal, efficient usage of the vitality that’s surging through you, so that your life can be filled with satisfaction, joy, peace, delight, ease and success, as opposed to being filled with perpetual burnout, self-doubt, bitterness, disappointment, dissatisfaction, anger or frustration.

That’s a general overview and a lot to wrap your head around on a random Wednesday morning, so now let’s get specific. It’s time to zero in on that unique, tiny detail I told you about, the one that tells you how your unique energy body is meant to soothe itself anytime you’re going bananas.


Use the diagram below as an example to locate what’s called your Conscious Earth. It’s a number with a decimal point inside the right-hand column, second box down from the top. See?

 

That image is the Human Design chart for an imaginary person we’ll call Marty. The number that’s circled, 32.3, is Marty’s Conscious Earth. It signifies the unique energetic frequency that was being emitted by the Earth on the day that Marty was born.

(Your unique Conscious Earth number will most likely be something different, totally unique to you. There are hundreds of different possible numbers that could appear in that box, and whichever one appears for you is meant for you to use and to learn from in this lifetime. It’s derived from the specific angle and position, relative to the Sun, that the Earth was moving through at the specific time and place you were born).

32.3 is the frequency that Marty is hardwired to tap into, learn how to use with mastery, leverage anytime he needs it, and consciously unleash in order to stabilize himself, anytime at all.


32.3 probably means nothing to you, or to him, right now. But in a private reading, Marty would discover that having 32.3 as his Conscious Earth means he possesses the gift of what I call The Sacred In-Between. 


Meaning, Marty is built to unleash The Sacred In-Between as his key to getting grounded anytime he’s feeling angsty, worrying himself sick, afraid about the future, or feeling overwhelmed.

It’ll automatically feel soothing and supportive for him to remind himself that he possesses the superpower of The Sacred In-Between. If he can just get hold of himself for long enough to put The Sacred In-Between into practice, he will begin to calm himself down immediately and start thinking straight again.


Here’s what I’d tell him if he were sitting before me for a reading: I’d say, “Marty, whenever you’re losing your marbles, it might be because you’re feeling forced to take action before you’re not ready. Forced to commit to something before you’ve had a chance to determine whether it’ll actually serve your highest good. No wonder you’re spinning out! You feel rushed! If you want to chillax, try tapping into your natural tendency for being indecisive.”


Here’s the part where he’d screw his face up at me.

“No, really!” I’d go on. “It’s actually a superpower to hold off before getting yourself involved in a new project or relationship too deep. It’s right for you to drag your feet a little. You need to give yourself time to do a gut check and read the situation fully before you step into some new cycle of life, because you’ve probably pushed too fast, too soon, into things in the past, and that probably made you feel anxious.”


At this point, Marty would nod in agreement. But he would probably also follow it up with something like, “But I always worry that I’ll miss out on a great opportunity and I won’t get another chance!”


So I’d tell Marty, “But doesn’t it feel more stabilizing to let yourself slow down or put off making a major change before you’re actually ready to? You’re wired to take your time figuring things out. Processing what you’ve just left behind, preparing for what’s next. Take a beat before you go pushing into some serious, long-term commitment, Marty. 

You gotta make sure it’s worth your investment, your loyalty, your effort! Nothin’ wrong with that! You came into this world with the power to just sit with the not-knowing what might-happen for a while, to relish in the slow transformation, to enjoy that Sacred In-Between downtime that exists after one exciting thing ends but before the next one begins. Don’t let anyone force you into a new situation before you’re ready. Don’t rush the process! If you’re anxious about the future, think about what could be, as opposed to dwelling on what’s gone. Marty, don’t ask, “What will go wrong?” about the phase you’re stepping into. Rather, take some time to ask yourself, “What could go right?”

The next time Marty feels unstable, he dials into his 32.3 Conscious Earth. He unleashes The Sacred In-Between, he appreciates himself for knowing he’s not wired to rush through transformation. He stops chiding himself for being a slow-poke, stops punishing himself for taking too long to commit. He trusts himself to know when the time is right to move forward into a new juicy opportunity.

And before you know it, Marty feels better! He’s enjoying the pause. He’s able to sit with uncertainty. He can handle change much more effectively. And he’s not kicking himself for pushing into a new phase of his life too soon.

Marty is stable!

He has more self-confidence; less fear and anguish. He has shifted his energy entirely, and opened up a lot of space in his life for ease, freedom, inner peace and contentment to enter.

But I know what you’re thinking: that Sacred In-Between advice only applies to Marty (and maybe to some other folks who share his exact birth data). 

Because your Conscious Earth is completely unique to you.


So go ahead and look at the number that’s inside that box on your chart again. What is it?!
